What is moving, what it means, where to focus.
Nexus Legislative Intelligence is the coverage tier of the Nexus advisory relationship, the intelligence nearly every engagement runs on. It watches your full bill portfolio across every state that matters to you, scores each bill daily, and tells you where to put your attention. Not a list of bills to read through. A clear read on what to act on and what to leave alone. Your issues, your states, nothing missed.
Tracking is the baseline. Intelligence is the point.
Most tools tell you a bill exists. NLI tells you what it means, how urgent it is, and where to focus. Every bill in your portfolio is scored, ranked, and organized around the way your team already works, so the first thing you see each morning is the day's priorities, already sorted. Status changes are verified against the state's own record, not passed through from a vendor feed.
Verified Against the State's Own Record
A bill is not called dead, enacted, or vetoed without confirmation against the state's own record. Vendor feeds are treated as discovery, never as the source of record. Where the record is ambiguous, the report says so rather than choosing a likely answer. Where a feed diverges from the record, you are told. Corrections are published under the analyst's name. Telling you what is not yet settled is the whole discipline. Read the methodology
Intelligent Scoring and Prioritization
Every bill is scored daily across three dimensions: momentum, salience, and impact. The scores combine into a single priority ranking that surfaces what needs attention automatically. Session-urgency weighting moves priorities as state deadlines approach, so a bill with four days left outranks a quieter one with a full session ahead. The point is precision: what is excluded from your attention matters as much as what is ranked at the top.
Tracked and Monitored
Your portfolio is organized as Tracked and Monitored. Tracked is the short list, usually around twenty bills, each carrying a posture, a written assessment, and a place in every report. Monitored is the wider net behind it, watched so nothing relevant surfaces without us seeing it. The dashboard splits the tracked list by direction: threats are bills you oppose that are advancing, opportunities are bills you support that are advancing. Bills move between them as position changes.
Daily Intelligence Reports
Analyst memos, not data exports. Each report leads with an executive summary, follows with specific 48 to 72 hour action items, covers key developments in plain language, and closes with full portfolio status and upcoming hearings. Every edition is reviewed and released before it is sent.
One platform. The whole portfolio.
NLI replaces the spreadsheets, email digests, and Friday vendor reports with a single source of truth your whole team opens to the same view, built around your priorities and tailored to your footprint.
Always-on access to nli.nexuspa.com.
Your full bill portfolio, session deadlines, hearings calendar, footprint map, and the tracked portfolio in one place. Desktop and mobile.
Intelligence briefings on your reporting schedule.
Reviewed and released by a named analyst before they are sent, and formatted for the senior executives and GR leads who need the synthesis, not the raw data.
Every member of your GR team, their own login.
Multiple users can be in the platform at the same time. Each session is private and scoped to your organization only.
Built around your priorities from day one.
Issue tracks, scoring weights, and impact assessments are tailored to your organization and footprint. Built around your situation, not a generic tool with your bills imported into it.
